- the policewoman called danny "old macdonald"
- the woman in charge was easy to spot as she was ever so slightly adjusting the picture frames on the walls as effortlessly as someone walking through her own home would do out of habit
- danny's fingerprint taker was incredibly confused that he had no alien number
- for a government run facility, i was pleasantly surprised by the kind, courteous, professional, and helpful staff... maybe that says more about me than them; i'm undecided on that

so close...
biometrics done today! so glad we got there early as we were the first 3:00 appointments called up and there were quite a few people waiting. some noteworthy items:

Have you heard back from USCIS yet after the fingerprinting? I haven't heard back yet myself. Hoping we will in the next few days.
ReplyDeletewe got a paper in the mail yesterday saying they had thoroughly reviewed our file and they asked for one more piece of information. grrr... we missed something simple and are now going to express mail that document to them tomorrow hopefully (had to get a certified copy). i am keeping high hopes that they will respond quickly with an approval after receiving that document!
ReplyDeleteThats ok, you are so close!!! Have you talked to your case officer? Maybe if you let him/her know that you've sent it they can even tell you of your approval over phone! Call and find out. There is a USCIS phone number specific for adoption status inquiries. If you don't have it let me know! Good luck, can't wait to hear the good news!!!
